Some Golf Tips

During set up, start with your front foot in line with the ball, to give it more loft. In addition, shift your front hip slightly higher than your rear hip, and shift your front shoulder slightly lower than your rear shoulder. When you go for your backswing, you should shift your weight backward. This will give your swing more power.
You're driving will improve if, before you swing, you draw a mental picture of:
1. Your position at the top of your swing
2. The clubhead swinging through the impact area
3. Where you want your club to finish up [the best way to do this is to pick out a target on the horizon and swing your club toward it]
These images represent the three keys to any good swing: the backswing, the impact, and the follow-through.
When addressing the ball with your driver, you must be loose and relaxed. Do not tighten up over the golf ball. It is important to waggle the club back and forth a few times in order to create some flow to start the golf swing. This action will promote proper rhythm and tempo.

Many facilities have practice grounds, which provide an ideal environment in which to get to grips with the basics. If there is a professional in residence, arranging some lessons will ensure that the new player begins developing good habits right from the off. The Grain affects the roll! Grain is mostly seen on the fringe of the green. Putts with grain roll faster and farther, against the grain slower and not so far. Check from both sides of your ball as well as behind the ball when lining up. The appearance of the grass shows the grain. If it looks shiny the grain is away from you. If dull, the grain is towards you.

The downside of this shot-making decision is that yardage has been lost and, therefore, a possible birdie opportunity has been missed because there is still a fair amount of ground to be made up before the putting surface can be reached. The solution is to hit the ball so that it bends around the trees at the right moment and makes a greater distance down the fairway, resulting in an approach shot much nearer the hole. The skill called for here is to draw the ball, hitting it initially on a path to the right before it curves round to the left, avoiding the trees and leaving a more desirable lie.
